India #5 05.07.2019

. Today was my first day at Khaligat. Khaligad is the first house, in wich Mother Theresa served for the Poors. Khaligat is the place for the dying destitutes.
I attended mass at six and went to breakfast. Afterwards we went to Khaligat. From the motherhouse it's a 20 minute bus ride and another 15 minutes of walking through the streets. The house wich is actually called Nirmal Hriday is referred to as Khaligat, because next to the house there is a Hindu Temple of the goddess Kali.
The work there includes washing clothes, preparing the plates for food, washing dishes, feeding the residents, wound dressing and massaging the ones who need it.
The work was fun, I had some really interesting encounter's.
Afterwards I went to Hotel Galaxy with some two boys from Ireland, for I have to change accomodations on the 14th of July. It was the first time I drove the metro ( I didn't know there was one...)
Sadly Hotel Galaxy is full. I have to go on and search. In the afternoon we wanted to go to the Zoo but sadly one of the girls who wanted to join felt sick so we stayed at the BMS and just chatted.
That's it for today.
I got to get up at 4:30 tomorrow because the Maronit Seminarians are leaving and they are having a special mass and I don't want to miss that.

Good night :)

Sincerely Yours
